Q: How does the booking process work?
A: Contact Shane and he will arrange a time to come to you and do a free quote, he is available before or after hours. Once Shane has discussed the job with you and looked over the area, he will write up a formal quote outlining the costs. If you accept the quote Shane will book in a time to complete the job. Approximately 1-2 weeks before starting, Shane will contact you to discuss colours for the job. Please keep in mind that specialised finishes and paints may require more lead time so please tell Shane if there is a colour or particular finish that you had in mind as soon as you can. Shane will then start the job, once finished he will arrange to take you through the work so you can check over it. Once happy Shane will send you through an invoice. Payment is required within 7 days of completing the job. A progress payment may be required for larger projects, this will be discussed in the initial meeting.
Q: What paint does Shane recommend?
A: As a Taubmans Certified Painter, Shane is an ambassador for the Taubmans products. Shane finds the range and colour options in Taubmans to be the best, and Taubmans have the ability to colour match any sample that you provide. However, Shane will always work with you to find the best paint and colour to suit your requirements.
Q: How long will it take to complete the job?
A: It is all dependant on the size of the job and the requirements; a 5 bedroom house will take longer than a 1 bedroom house and a house requiring a lot of preparation for painting (older homes, damaged homes) may take longer also. Shane will discuss all these things with you in detail at the time of the quote and will always give clients a realistic time frame to complete a job.
Q: What are your hours?
A: As a general rule, our hours are 7am - 4pm, Monday to Saturday. However, depending on your needs and the project requirements, we are very flexible and can work all hours, day and night to complete your job.
Q: Do you work after hours?
A: We work all kinds of hours to complete a job - tell us what you need and we will always work with you to complete the project in as timely manner as possible.
Q: Do you do gyprocking?
A: Yes we can, however, on larger projects we would definitely recommend hiring a gyprocker.
Q: The area I want painted is mouldy or damaged - should I get cleaners in beforehand?
A: We will assess the space when we come to view the project, but generally we can take care of the cleaning process; we can remove the mould ourselves. Any washing / cleaning that is required we will carry out and include in our quote.
Q: Do you do wallpapering?
A: Yes, we are trained in all areas of wallpapering and special finishes.
Q: What happens if we go away? Can Shane still work?
A: Communication is very important factor in our business. Therefore, we do our best to provide you with a wide range of communication methods so you never feel like you're in the dark. These days, technology and the ability to communicate in a variety of ways is right at our very fingertips.
At the clients request, daily photos and videos can be provided through your preferred method of correspondence; phone calls, text messages, emails, Skype.
